Quality Assurances

WellbeingSport will only work with the most accomplished specialists within their field of health and wellbeing. Below is a list of the MINIMUM criteria and standards that WellbeingSport core services providers have to meet:

Health Screenings:

  • Practitioners are either qualified nurses; nutritionists or fitness instructors
  • Any laboratory used is fully Clinical Pathology Association accredited
  • Post screenings results are reported on by consultants at the lab
  • Personal and medical information collected is not divulged to any third parties without prior written consent
  • Registered under the Data Protection Act and operate within the bounds of strict medical ethics

Educational Workshop Facilitators:

Basic qualification requirements in:

  • Anatomy
  • Physiology

Plus, at least one of:

  • Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (MIOSH)
  • Occupational Health Nursing Certificate (OHNC)
  • Occupational Health MSc
  • Commercial Occupational Health Providers Association 
  • Society of Occupational Medicine

Yoga Instructors:

  • WellbeingSport use tutors from The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY)
  • As the Governing Body for Yoga, BWY accredit other organisations' teacher training programmes

Pilates Instructors:

  • The Body Control Pilates group is firmly established as a world leader in Pilates training
  • BCP was the first specialist Pilate’s body to be recognised by the UK national standard for Pilates.
  • All instructors are members of the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA)
  • BCPA is a member of The Fitness Industry Association
  • All instructors must be registered as a Level 3 Pilates teacher

Legal Matters – Insurance:

  • Public Liability Insurance of £3m.
  • Professional indemnity of at least £3m

  • Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)
  • Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT)
  • International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC)
  • Guild of Complimentary Therapists (GCT)
  • The Academy of On-site Massage (AOSM)
  • The Guild of Holistic Therapies (GHT)
  • Complementary Therapists Association (CTA)
  • Complementary Medical Association (CMA)
  • Guild of Beauty Therapists (GPBT)
  • Assoc. of Reflexologists
  • European collage of Bowen studies

General Qualifications

  • First Aid Certificate (workplace)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards - VTCT
  • Full members of the Federation of Holistic Therapies
  • VTCT Level 3 in Holistic Therapies
  • Anatomy and Physiology – Level 3 Diploma – FHT, VTCT, ITEC

The following treatments require a level 3 diploma or a Practitioners Diploma from at least one of the following bodies:

  • Swedish Massage – VTCT
  • Advanced massage techniques - VTCT
  • Holistic Massage - FHT 
  • Seated Acupressure chair massage - FHT, AOSM, GHT CTA, CMA, GPBT  
  • Indian head massage - FHT, CMA, GPBT, GHT, IPTI, VTCT
  • Reflexology - Assoc. of Reflexologists, FHT, VTCT
  • Bowen technique Practioner level, European collage of Bowen studies
  • Myofascial Release - VTCT
  • REIKI - 1st, 2d, 3rd degree to REIKI master, FHT

Nutritional Experts:

  • All Nutritionists are registered with BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutrition Therapy)
  • BANT members are qualified in both the science of nutrition as well as clinical practice
  • BANT practitioners must have met the required standards of training, be fully insured and adhere to the BANT Code of Ethics and Practice.

Physiotherapists:
